The Creative Provoker / Partner²
The Provokers²' Commander and Leader in all things design, but don’t let that fool you. She has so many layers to her. Graduating with a diploma in graphic design and advertising from Conestoga College has helped empower her with over 20+ years of experience in the industry. Having worked with some of the leading national Canadian brands such as Royal Bank of Canada, Loblaws, President Choice, and Canadian Tire, Lisa enjoys turning complex problems into simple, beautiful, and engaging designs. She is constantly striving to learn and grow with the times, recently finishing courses in Mobile and Web User Experience Design from Algonquin College.
When Lisa is not learning how to conquer the design world, she can be found visiting small batch breweries and distilleries all over Ontario, exploring waterfalls or in Toronto watching her Blue Jays and Raptors. Lisa loves travelling the globe, especially to remote destinations and beaches. If you don’t find her in the office, she is on a softball diamond trying to drive her team to victory with monster hits, or on a patio entertaining friends and clients. She always gives 110% in everything she does. It really doesn’t matter if it is at home or in the office, she is knocking out of the park her next design project.
The Techie Provoker / Partner²
The Provokers²' resident Techie and Analytical Mind is a graduate of Mohawk College in software development, with years of website development experience. He started his journey with computers at the age of 7. Shane was a lover of all things in the realm of technology. After working for a year doing quality assurance on projects at Mohawk College, he teamed up with Lisa to help form Provoke Media & Design. Shane is the Ying to Lisa’s Yang in all respects. We can say that Shane likes to talk a bit, okay a lot, and this has helped the Provokers meet lots of amazing people and clients.
When Shane is not working on complex data or “talking people’s ears off”, he can be found travelling all over the country to find amazing food(especially burgers and food stuffed with cheese) and beverages. Shane is many things, including a father of two boys, an Xbox gamer, a crypto-enthusiast, a foodie, an amateur writer, and a photographer. We can definitely say Shane dabbles in all things nerdy, but can also be found cheering on his Hamilton Tiger-Cats and tailgating in Lot E. While Shane is not athletic in any way, he is a sports fan who frequently attends numerous live games and concerts. Shane hopes to one day be found working on a beach, taking pictures and writing a book a few feet from his beachfront home with family, friends, and his buddy Harvey.
The Social Media Provoker
If you're wondering if Harvey is a dog, the answer is yes. Harvey is a Boston Terrier and English Bulldog mix, and the undeniable colouring of his brindle makes him the talk of all parties. He is a notorious attention hog and the camera just loves him, so who better to be our Social Media Expert than that adorable bulldog face of his? Harvey has become the topic of conversation at multiple client meetings since his introduction and picture on our website.
No longer a puppy, as he was during our last website rebuild, Harvey is now a grown-up adult bulldog with a love for carrots, peppers, and pizza. We are not going to lie. Who doesn’t love pizza? Just please don’t eat it around Harvey if you want your hearing to remain intact because you're not sharing it with him. In his free time, when he is still not eating sticks or begging for people to pet him, he is posing for photos for his adoring followers on Instagram.
